Abby Bosco is a standout lacrosse player known for her exceptional defensive prowess and leadership on the field. Hailing from Suffern, New York, she began playing lacrosse at the age of four in a town deeply rooted in the sport. Bosco's athletic journey took her to the University of Pennsylvania, where she played from 2018 to 2021. During her time at Penn, she earned second-team All-Ivy honors in 2019 and was recognized as an Academic All-Ivy in 2020. Seeking to continue her collegiate career, Bosco transferred to the University of Maryland for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. At Maryland, she emerged as a defensive leader, starting all 22 games in 2022 and leading the team with 63 groundballs and 26 caused turnovers. Her performance earned her the Big Ten Defender of the Year award and IWLCA First Team All-American honors . Bosco's talents extended beyond college as she was selected in the 2023 Athletes Unlimited Lacrosse College Draft. In her debut professional season, she was named the Athletes Unlimited Defensive Player of the Year, highlighting her impact at the professional level . Additionally, she represented the United States in the inaugural World Lacrosse Women's Box Championship in 2024, contributing to the team's gold medal victory .
